Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi I’m Shelby. I’ve only been here at the rescue a couple of weeks. But, so far so good. If you have time, let me tell you about myself. I’m originally from Colorado. Have only been in Texas a short while. The vet thinks I’m about 5 years old. I’m a friendly girl. Haven’t met a dog I didn’t like. And WOW! There are a lot of them here. Which is good since I do like to play. And not to mention all the hugs and kisses I get. It’s so great! And I’m just loving it. But, as much fun as it to be here I would really like to find my forever home. I’m house-trained and crate-trained. And would probably make a great walking companion. I promise once you meet me you will fall in love! But first, you need to go to www.texascollierescue.org and fill out an application. I look forward to meeting you!
Shelby
Shelby has got to be one of the sweetest collie girls we have ever gotten. As you can see she is a pretty tri-color. Shelby came to us through owner relinquish. But, we’re not sure about all her past history. She has a great disposition, a tail that is always wagging, and likes to play with the other dogs. We just don’t know how she does with cats or small children. We were told they scare her a bit. So older kids may be ok. Her most favorite thing is to put her head in your lap for petting or she will nose you. And she is a bit of a “leaner.” You know when they come up and lean against you with their whole body. Well she’s like that. Wherever her person is, is where she will be. She is loving and affectionate and not a barky dog. She will make a great companion for someone or their family and if you have another dog. But, she would also do well on her own. You can also catch more of Shelby on our Facebook page.
