Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sally was rescued as a stray in a blizzard this past January. She suffered a gunshot to her right front leg and is suspected to have been abused likely by a man and trusts slowly. But once she trusts you, she smothers you with love and kisses! She spent several weeks in a loving foster home but due to issues with the landlord, she then lived on a farm up near Rockford for 3 months. She is had a great time, but deserves to live in a home were she can snuggle up on the sofa and take a nap. If you are willing to be patient and earn Sally's trust, please consider her for foster/adoption. Sally is approximately 2 to 3 years old, she is spayed up to date on her shots, heartworm negative and on prevention medication, microchip and ready to take that next up. She is good with children, women, may need a slow introduction to some men and at this point, we have not tested her with dogs, but we suspect that she will be fine with other dogs. She needs an experienced handler, someone who can dedicate lots of 1:1 time to help her with trust issues and continue her training. Her adoption will come with life time training at Chicago Canine Company as well as any other support that might be needed.
