My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DORA IN TAMPA, FLORIDA HAS BEEN ADOPTED AND IS NOW LIVING A VERY PAMPERED LIFE IN SUNNY CALIFORNIA!

Dora is being lovingly fostered in a private home in Tampa, Florida. If you are interested in adopting Dora please complete our adoption application on our website at www.brusselsgriffonrescue.org or send inquiries to Vicki at vboneill@optonline.net

Dora came from a loving home and it shows. She is a happy, playful girl who adores people and other dogs. She is a vibrant young 5 yr. old 17 lb. girl who was always fed the healthiest food and received the best care. She has adjusted very quickly to her foster home, and has made friends with the other dog. She loves attention, so shouldn’t be in a home with lots of other dogs, and is extremely affectionate, and adores pets and tummy rubs! She loves sleeping in bed with the humans and other dogs, enjoys her walks around the block, playing in the fenced back yard, likes car rides, playing with toys, and lying on the back of the sofa looking out the window with her foster sister.

Her recent grooming doesn’t show off her beautiful full copper colored coat, with her deep soulful eyes which reflect intelligence and sensitivity. She is highly attuned and is reactive to the feelings of those around her. She is a true Velcro Griff, and should be placed in a loving and gentle environment where she will receive much special attention, which she deserves!

The foster home places down puppy pads for the smaller dogs. Dora is shy about toileting while people are watching but will go if left to roam a few minutes in the back yard, otherwise she has been using the pads. She would easily adapt to new circumstances. She is not crated in her foster home as she can be trusted to behave properly, however she has used a crate in the past.

Dora is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative and on monthly heart worm preventative.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
