My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penelope and Cruz were surrendered to Rowan County Animal Control by their owner many weeks ago. The owner said they were Airedale terrier mixes. Our groomer believes they are mixed with Irish Wolfhound or possibly Schnauzer. Penelope is 2 years old and Cruz, her son, is 11 months old. Each weighs about 60 pounds.
These are the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. They get so excited when someone wants to spend time with them. They belly crawl to you and roll over for a nice rub. Sadly, they were not socialized when we got them. Their foster has done a tremendous amount of work with them and they have improved significantly but are still a beautiful work in progress. For example, at first they refused to walk and now they walk on a leash about 80% of the time. We believe that once in a home with someone whose time is not split between various foster dogs, they will blossom even more rapidly. if you would like to meet one of these beauties or learn more about them, please email us.
Their adoption fees are $250 each to cover their vetting (all done!) and grooming.
