Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Flop is currently living in a very loving foster home in Houston, Texas and is available for out-of-state adoption.**
Hi, meet our watchful Flop! He is one of 7 Labrador/Shepherd puppies found by a very nice person in a park near their home in Houston, Texas. They were 8 weeks old (and were all between 8-12 lbs) when they were found and fortunately their Mom was still with them and taking the best care she could. She needed a miracle and their miracle showed up at the park one night. They took the babies and Mom into safety, took them all to the vet and have given them a home until their real families find them through Reggie’s Friends. Their mom is about 40 pounds full grown, so we expect all of these babies to be medium-sized as well. He is currently 12 weeks old and about 15 pounds (as of July 7th).
Flop has very large puppy ears and he’s named this because one of his ears is floppy and one stands straight up. Occasionally his floppy ear flops over the other way and he looks like Spock from Star Trek. He is quite different in appearance from his siblings because he is the only one that is nearly solid black. He does have a dark brown belly, but he’s gorgeous and eye catching for many reasons. He is the born leader of his pack and seems to always be the first to try something new and really watches over his siblings closely. He is always the last pup to fall asleep because he seems to need to know that everyone is down for the night before he can rest. He is our pack leader and the most adorable one at that!
He has been in his foster home long enough now to know that he is healthy, happy and very sweet. He was given his first puppy round of shots and deworming the day after they were found and the next one was given 3 weeks later. His last round will be due on July 21st if he's joined his new family or still with us. He is too young to neuter or have his Rabies shot right now, but when he is between 4-6 months old, he will have to have that done with his new veterinarian.
Flop is still just a baby, so he needs a patient new owner that will allow him to fall asleep last and will continue working with him on potty training, leash training and kennel training. It’s a big job for a foster to care for 7 babies, but once he has one-on-one attention with his new people, he will pick up on these new habits much faster. Nobody can get upset with this adorable face if he has an accident!
Flop and his siblings are available for out-of-state adoption. If you are interested in this watchful, loving baby boy, please email us at adoptions@reggiesfriends.org. They are all currently living in a foster home in Houston, Texas and they are getting lots of love and attention, but they want their very own families. His adoption fee is $350, which will help pay for his airline flight, travel kennel and bed.
