Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our names are Fred and Ethel - and we're a bonded pair. Our foster mom has been told that we've been together most, if not all, of our lives. Our story is a happy one - we were rescued about 6 months ago when Ethel was pregnant with her last litter. Our foster mom doesn't know exactly how old we are - anywhere from 3 to 5 years, she thinks, and she doesn't know exactly how many litters we've produced, but she thinks at least four. When we came to the rescue, we were under weight, but basically healthy. Since then, we've been fed a very nutritious diet and we both are now very healthy with beautiful, shiny coats. Here's what our foster mom, Cathy, has said about us:
"Fred and Ethel, who, from the report we were given, were kept in a breeding pen without a family and without too much people interaction, were the friendliest, most sociable dogs when I got them. They are just full of love! And they are amazing puppy parents. Fred was so proud of his kids when they were born that he was almost passing out cigars. And Ethel still wants to see the puppies eating their food before she'll go eat herself. Fred and Ethel are amazing dogs and deserve the best, happiest lives possible with a family who will love them."
Our foster mom also wants you to know that, since we were kept in an outdoor pen all our lives, we're not house trained. We do come in the house - and we love to sit on people's laps (although we're pretty big) - but we have to be watched pretty carefully. She says Ethel is better about not having accidents, but Fred will mark and doesn't pay too much attention to what he does inside.
Because of this, our foster mom thinks that if we remain outdoor dogs (with an igloo and comfy blankets), that we'll be quite happy. We do like space to run around and play - and we really love to play with each other, too - and we would like to come inside for a little while everyday, if we can, 'cause we love attention and being cuddled. As our foster mom says, we are wonderful, loving, happy dogs and very beautiful and handsome (if we do say so!). If you'd like to learn more about us, please call our foster mom, Cathy, at (619) 822-1577 or email her at catherine888@mac.com. Thank you!
