His glorious chestnut coat gleams as brightly as his eyes and beckoning grin. Lucky and lovable Lester is, above all, a survivor. Rescued as a puppy from the Pewitt Road dog fighting operation in 2014, he came to us understandably fearful and timid and wary of people. But after several months in the security of a calm and loving foster home, he’s a pittie transformed: slowing becoming more trusting, playful and happy. He LOVES cuddling on the couch with his human fosters, and going for walks, walking wonderfully on leash. Although still somewhat shy when meeting new people, he warms up to them quickly with a wag of his tail and a widening of his smile. Lester loves playing with other dogs but is still having trouble understanding energies and doggiespeak. Lester's dream adopter will have lots of patience but also must be a strong leader. Fully housetrained and fully prepared now to take on the world, loving Lester hopes he’ll soon be welcomed into the world of a loving forever home.
