Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sansa-sol came to us from Monroe County Animal Shelter, they were full to the hilt and still are. She is sweet as they come and always the first one to be waiting for her potties and feedings. She knows her order in the routine and waits silently with that in mind. She is friendly passing other dogs, but dogs that are alpha can make her coat stand on end in fear for a few seconds and she is clearly not an alpha dog and has no desire to be. She's definitely kennel and crate trained with a few minutes of noise here and there, but nothing crazy. She keeps her kennel clean, interacts with house dogs appropriately and seems unbothered by our house cat. She has energy but it's mild and comes in few minutes of "zoomies" on long-lead around the yard (we are not fenced). She is a tad strong on lead but a couple minutes into a walk, she settles to being at your side. She has met kids of all ages and does fine with them, she seems to wish for a young boy of her own and she really adores mine. She's been with big and little dogs and is friendly with them all once she's over her initial scare of meeting (never a growl or malbehaved, but her fur stands in fear). She has a minor mix but I haven't pegged it for a specific breed but I do believe shepherd in there somewhere.
She has learned sit and shake and quickly does her potties outside quickly and efficiently in the same general area each time. She does come up to greet at times, but not all the time, we are working on down and she does know what it means. She has no food aggression and will back away from her dish if another dog approaches it. She is not a food gulper but instead slowly eats whatever she has in dish through-out the day. She would do well with any working family so long as they are willing to kennel/crate during their work day until she earns their trust.
She does not eat her blankets and does not destroy her toys. So we suspect her home behavior is absolutely fine.
She is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative (on prevention too), microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her forever home. She won't disappoint anyone with her gentle and sweet manor in interactions with humans - she's a joy to foster. She is fostered in New Boston, MI and prospective adopters should be within a 1 hour commute of her foster location as we do home visits before adoptions can be completed and volunteers often are not able to commit to further drives.
