My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Luke. I'm a 5 year old Akita/Pit mix. I was rescued from a high kill shelter 4 years ago and have been living in boarding ever since.
Best Friend Dog and Animal Adoption, Inc. and Best Friend Thrift Shop has some really nice volunteers who take good care of me and take me for walks and play with me. I love them a lot.
Kennel life would be really tough if they were not around.
I'M AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN STIRLING,NJ.
I'm not really sure why I still don't have a home.
I'm good with all people including children.
I'm good around dogs when I walk with them and when I'm at adoption events but I have never lived with another dog.
I have no guarding issues, I'm housebroken, I love car rides and I'm good on a walk. I'm all the things a good dog should be.
BUT I DON'T HAVE A HOME.
I'm looking for someone who will give us a chance to get to know each other so that we can make a connection and form a bond.
I don't bond instantly with people so there is no instant connection or instant satisfaction so i am always overlooked.
I'm a good dog, please take the time to get to know me so that I can go home.
