Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I have survived on the streets for so long…..but I can’t do it anymore… Please ADOPT Me.
I am only 6 years old and I have been through so much already. I have previously had my leg removed after I was run over by a car. I survived this.
Now my eyesight is failing me and it is too dangerous for me to continue living on the streets. I will die if I try. I was rescued by the kind folks at Soi Dog Foundation and now need a home of my own.
I am a friendly girl and enjoy attention. Can YOU take me into your life? I promise to show you nothing but love and to be the best dog I can be. Please ADOPT me.
-6 year old spayed female. Up to date on all shots.
-Almost blind but we think she can see shadows in her remaining eye.
-Gets along with other dogs if they are quiet and laid back like she is, and doesn’t appreciate bouncy high energy dogs getting in her space.
-Tripod – 3 legs, but gets around just fine.
-Very sweet and affectionate
-She’s easy and adapts quickly and well. Very laid back and quick to learn. Has an amazing laid back temperament and passive & calm.
-What she’s missing in parts, she more than makes up for in sweetness !!!
A butter cream beauty as softly sweet as her coat, Celine is, above all else, a survivor. A survivor of the streets of Thailand, a survivor of a shattering car crash that cost her a leg, a survivor who has lost an eye and is nearly blind in the other, and a survivor of a lengthy overseas flight to a strange, new land.
A survivor who has no right to be as happy as she is. And yet 6-year-old Celine is all of that and more.
UPDATE ON CELINE: Safe now in her Canadian foster home, Celine is thriving. She may see shadows with her remaining eye because she seems to track her foster mom as she moves about, and Celine herself moves through the house without incident. Despite having only three legs, she’s blithely unaware of her deficit, and gets around perfectly well, thank you!
Calm and gentle, Celine is eager to learn and easy to teach, adapting quickly to each new situation. Remarkably relaxed, she loves gnawing on her chew bones and settling down to listen to the birds in the backyard. Could anything represent freedom more to a once sickly stray than the lilting melodies of a bird?
Hale and hearty now, she eats well, rides well in the car, is fully housetrained, and sleeps quietly through the night. Due to her diminished sight, Celine has learned to respond to the word “careful” when walking on leash, and to her name or a tongue click when playing in the yard. Amiable and affectionate, she loves being scratched behind her right ear, and adores both tender pats and reassuring rubs, accompanied by a soothing series of “good girl” for good measure.
She gets along best with easygoing dogs like herself, and now that she’s ready claim her part of the Canadian dream, Celine hopes to find a forever home with calm and loving people, and a gentle dog or two as the icing on her doggy dream cake.
