My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Comet and his brother Bandit were kept in a dark, dirt-floored basement and never taken outside for the first seven months of their lives. They had only each other. Their owner worked two jobs and went to school and didn't have time for them. They were surrendered on 02-02-14, and the trip from the house to the car was the first time these boys had seen the outside world. They needed a hug and gentle hands, for they were very scared. They are learning so much so fast. The two now walk together on a leash in sync! Comet loves to explore and loves meeting other dogs in his foster home. He enjoys the comfort of his crate and retreats there when he feels uncomfortable. He is learning to trust humans and the treats they bring and will greet them with a tail that wags so fast it is a blur! Comet is crate trained and knows sit and shake. Comet is 38 pounds now. Comet used to submissive pee when things frightened him, but that rarely happens now. He would do well in a home where someone would continue to patiently work with him and not leave him alone for hours at a time. He would like a home with lots of treats, gentle hands, patience, and love. Their foster mom had them DNA tested to be sure of their breed.
