My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Newman was pulled from a high kill shelter, very emaciated (see last photo). He has gained about 10 lbs since then and is in excellent shape now. Due to his troubled past he is protective of his food and toys, but we continue to work with him on this. He seems fine with most other dogs and LOVES toys. He's a bit of a klutz and needs some work on his manners (new people are pretty scary!), so a home without kids or lots of traffic would be best. Newman would like a person who will continue to work with him in a POSITIVE, reward based manner and show him that people can be trusted. Is that you? He will reward you with kisses, belly rubs, lots of laughs and romantic walks on the beach.
He does great in his crate and is not much of a barker (unless his person or property is being invaded). Newman is a good snuggler, looking for a snuggle partner!
