Zoe is the current favorite at her foster home! She's sweet and affectionate, good with people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and shares her food bowl with other dogs without any problems. In fact, she surfs from food bowl to food bowl during feeding time, checking to see if anyone has a better flavor than her! LOL
She's crate trained and so far appears to be housebroken. We recommend crating her while you're out as she's still young enough to want to do things like chew up tissues. She enjoys wrestling and running around the yard with the husky at her foster home, so another playful dog that is fairly active would be a great match for her.
After several weeks in foster care, we recently tried leaving her uncrated overnight. We were up early the next morning and she hadn't done anything destructive or had any accidents in the house.
The only issue we have noticed with her in foster care is that she sometimes startles when our teenaged son tries to touch her collar. She doesn't do this with adults. We aren't sure if she is just startled and thinks he's another dog grabbing at her collar and she's turning around to wrestle with them or if she really just doesn't want him to touch her collar. We are going to try a harness on her to see if that will help to resolve this issue.
She's about 2-3 years old and weighs 52 lbs. We see signs of these breeds in her: Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, and Hound. She's your basic good old mixed breed, family friendly mutt! Pretty quiet and very easygoing. An all around GREAT DOG!
