Please do not apply for this dog if you do not live within our adoption area, if you want a perfectly housetrained dog or if everyone in your home works full time. Small dogs need to go outside more frequently than larger dogs and Louie should not stay crated for long periods of time.

Louie is great with everyone, so would do well with children, adults, and other dog-friendly small to medium dogs who like to play. His temperament is excellent. He is not a fear biter and he is not barky. He is a sweet and social little boy who deserves an excellent forever home.

Everyone seems to want little dogs like Louie, but we are being very careful in screening adopters for him to be sure he gets the perfect match. Believe it or not, in less than a year of life, this boy has already been lost and ended up in a kill shelter, adopted and returned through no fault of his own. The next adoptive home needs to be a permanent situation for him. We will NOT bend on the requirements for his adoption, so please do not ask.
