Sweetie was brought into a rural shelter by someone who said they found her in their yard and felt sorry for yer. She appears to be a Yorkshire or Cairn Terrier, weighing 15 lbs and is probably about 4-5 years old.
Sweetie probably spent quite a while as a stray, as she's on the skinny side and used to scavanging for food. She's coming around nicely in foster care. She will be getting her teeth cleaned on 3/24 and will be available for adoption after that.
We think Sweetie would prefer a quiet life. She would make a great pet for a senior or a couple with no children. She is not snappy with children, does fine with the 12 year old boy at her foster home. But so far she's not a playful girl. More of a couch potato, follows you around wagging her tail happily...she enjoys cuddling up on her blanket for a nap. We don't think this girl has had her fair share of cuddling so far in life. Are you the right family to give her lots of love and teach her that people can treat her well?
If you are interested in meeting or possibly adopting Sweetie, please
submit our adoption application to begin the process.
We are not a shelter. Our dogs are fostered in a home environment. All meetings are by appointment. We do not know if any of our dogs are good with cats as we have no way to cat test them in our foster program.
