Dolly is a sweet and gentle small mixed breed dog. We've put shepherd/chihuahua as her breed mix simply because we don't know what else to call her! She's truly a Heinz 57 girl. But her personality is just wonderful.
We think that Dolly has probably spent her life outdoors prior to coming into rescue. She was afraid to come back inside after we let her out in our yard. She's adjusting well though and now thoroughly enjoys napping in her crate on a nice, warm, soft blanket.
Dolly gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. She is low energy and not overly playful with them. She will play with them once in a while and then go and hang out on her blanket or lay down at our feet. She likes to gently put her two front paws on her foster mom's lap and beg for hugs and pets. She does fine with the 11 year old boy in her foster home. No signs of food or toy aggression with humans or other dogs. She's just a little sweetheart of a dog.
She is a quiet girl and seems to walk fairly well on a leash. We think she would do best with a family that's just looking for a nice, gentle companion. A busy, hectic househould would probably not hold much attraction for her. But she doesn't mind having company over...she will greet new people with a wagging tail and gentle kisses.
Dolly is 22 lbs and around 1-2 years old.

We are not a shelter. Our dogs are fostered in a home environment. All meetings are by appointment. We do not know if any of our dogs are good with cats as we have no way to cat test them in our foster program.
If you are interested in meeting or possibly adopting this dog, please
submit our adoption application to begin the process.
