Here he is! Barkhund von Weinerschnitz, known as Barky to his friends, which is, well, everybody. Herr Weinerschitz is a 12-year-old standard doxie with so much life and energy, it’s hard to believe he’s a senior. He’s neutered, housetrained, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Barky is a lovable goofball, very affectionate, and loves attention. But he is a true dachshund -- Intelligent, determined, and a bit stubborn. So Barky needs an experienced adopter, someone who will understand and appreciate a dog with a streak of independence and spunk.

Barky gets along with other dogs, but would do best in a home without children. If you are up to to the challenge, the joy, the fun of having a great dog like Barky in your life, he is available now for adoption.

Our adoption process is simple. We ask you to complete a one-page application. An interview will then take place in your home. There will be no adoption fee. Donations, though, will be appreciated. Adoptions outside of Northwest Arkansas are not out of the question. We welcome sincere inquiries from anywhere, and we’re happy to work with long-distance applicants.
