SKYLAR, Approx. 2 y/o male Weimaraner/Lab or Chessie Bay Retriever mix. Skylar was rescued from a shelter after he had been picked up as a stray. This sweet boy is very handsome! He has beautiful amber colored fur, an adorable long tail that wags all the time, the softest nose, and sparkling white “young dog” teeth. Skylar is now in boarding, where we are working with him on obedience training. The trainer describes him as a "goofy boy" and says his main goal is to play and explore and his sweet personality is shining through. He has learned “sit and down” – especially for treats and takes treats super gently! He has perfected his leash walking skills. Check out his video! Skylar will benefit from continuing his obedience training and living with a calm and confident female dog buddy, so he can learn the ropes and be at ease in a new environment. Skylar should go to a cat-free home, since we do not know if he is cat-friendly. He has been good with the children he has encountered. However, we are looking for a home without kids, as have no information on him living with them. Our most immediate need for Skylar is a foster home, so this sweet boy can get out of boarding! He would love a person or people who truly want to make a difference in his life. Skylar will give back ten-fold what you give to him, he just needs the opportunity!
