Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Bitsy is currently living in Houston, Texas and is available for out-of-state adoption**
This sweet girl has been appropriately named Bitsy because of her whopping 7 pounds. She is equal parts of brown, tan and white and completely adorable. Bitsy is a 1 year old, Chihuahua mix with a sad story. She was found tied to the front door of a vet clinic in Houston, Texas with a leash. She was placed there during a really bad storm that was probably terrifying for her. We have to assume that she escaped her backyard and someone found her running down the road. They probably couldn’t find her family, but didn’t want her to get hit by a car, so they tied her up to a door where they knew she’d be helped. After the vet’s office was unsuccessful at locating her family, they reached out to Reggie’s Friends to help her find a family that she could join and never worry about being lost again.
This tiny girl is the definition of FUN! She loves to play with her friends, both dog and human. She loves toys and attention. She is hard to take photos of because she’s just having fun, wiggling around and stays busy. She would definitely lounge in her new friend’s lap too though. She would be a great little companion for an office mascot or for a busy family. She would be just fine as an only dog in the family or a new pup to grow the pack. She plays with 2 other Chihuahuas all day, every day so we know that she enjoys their company. She has a touch of little dog syndrome when it comes to the big dogs…she barks at them to get their attention, but otherwise she is pretty quiet unless she’s left all alone for a long time. She’s too social to be a loner.
Bitsy loves belly rubs and will be your best friend if you keep those coming. She loves to be outside, but she is definitely an inside pet. She was just found on the porch at the end of May, so she’s still working on her potty training and leash skills, but she’s about 85% on both and getting better every day. She is completely kennel trained, which will be useful for the next few weeks until she’s 100% in the other categories. We are working with her to get to perfect in those puppy areas and her new owner will need to have a little patience to continue her training. This adorable face is worth it though!
Bitsy is healthy, spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. She loves treats which is helping with her training. She is a very playful pup and dreams of having a family that will love her and give her lots of attention. She is currently living at the vet’s office that has been keeping her safe since the big storm and she’s available for out-of-state adoption. Her adoption fee is $450 to cover the cost of her airline flight, new travel kennel and bed. These items are hers to keep and use upon arrival at her new home.
