Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Sunflower. This gal came in during summer with a kitten in tow. We all thought she was feral, and couldn't hardly get near her. Turns out she was just that scared of people.
Time in a loving foster home has shown that Sunflower is a big love bug, who just needed a chance to heal and trust again. Certainly someone's former house cat, she has been fending for herself for a good long time. The most amazing part: she has old healed injuries consistent with getting hit by a car. Her jaw had been broken in half, and has healed crooked. Her bottom teeth are all but missing, and her front leg is fused straight at the ankle. Despite all this, she was able to provide for her kitten Petal and God knows how many other litters. She is, simply put, amazing.
This girl has to know you before she'll shower her affection, but give her time and she squeaks a little meow at you and purrs like a train; her little tongue sticking out when she is happy.
The fact that Sunflower has survived is amazing. The fact that she has learned to trust and love again, a pure miracle.
This gal is looking for a home.
Please contact her foster Kerry at 920.606.5263 or email Ker_Walters@msn.com for more information about Sunflower.
