My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Aspen. Aspen is around two years old and weighs around 50-60 pounds. She has had a rough life up until now, but now is loving life! Let me tell you the part of the story of her life we know.

Aspen was brought in as a stray in a high kill shelter. She sat in the run day after day with no interest as she was shy and scared. It can be a scary place with all the noise and big trucks passing by. She would just sit back in the corner and watch you but never made a peep. She sat there for a month and then we noticed something. She was pregnant. We knew then we could not wait on someone else to help her.

We brought her home and in two weeks, she gave birth to ten beautiful puppies. Let me tell you, she was an awesome mom. She made sure all her babies were fed and survived. During this time her and her foster mom bonded to no end. She was unsure of her foster mom's husband as he was unsure of her because he knew his wife would become attached. See he expected on keeping Aspen and all the puppies. So he never tried to bond with her. He missed out. The puppies have since found new homes and are enjoying their life, now it is time for Aspen.

Aspen's foster mom's knew she needed to get use to men and to other people. So Aspen went to stay with her uncle who would give her patience to gain his trust. She did. The first week she had little to do with him, but he would sit and talk to her and give her treats. This won her over. She now loves him too.

I tell you all of this because I want you to see how amazing this girl is. When she gives you her heart, it is amazing. She loves to play and be loved on. She crawls right next to her foster mom and just loves to be held and hugged. She loves to venture into the woods and play when they go hiking. She enjoys the dog park and LOVES meeting the new dogs. She has yet to meet a dog stranger. She loves to go for walks and enjoys piling up on the couch to. The only flaw is you have to gain her trust. You have to give her time to understand you will never abandoned her or hurt her. She isn't nippy just shy at first.

Will you be the one to give this awesome girl her forever home?
