My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dear Sweet Romeo & Juliet! This adorable pair were surrendered to our care when their owner said he was going into the hospital and could no longer care for them. Juliet needed hospital care way before the owner. Her eyes had been traumatized and she was suffering with horribly damaged eyes from a long time. Had she been seen by a dogtor and treated with simple eye medications at the onset of the injury/infection, she would be seeing with her eyes. Now, she sees with her heart, ears, nose and her sweet Romeo by her side. Juliet is a calm, sweet girl who loves to give kisses. We have never seen a pug whose whole body wriggles back and forth with happiness when she wags her tail. Juliet has not been able to see for sometime through her damaged eyes and now she is free of pain. Of course, she bumps into things but you would be surprised how well blind dogs find their way around. She can even find the doggie door! Romeo loves to play and loves toys, especially socks! He loves attention and is quite the handsome young boy. They cuddle up together at night to sleep in a bed together. They don’t understand walking on leashes but we know that is easy to learn. Romeo and Juliet love lap time and are making up for it in their foster home by lounging on the couch. They get along great with everyone they meet even cats and children. These two little gems just need love, time and reassurance and we promise we will make sure they get the pug treatment and live Happily Ever After.
