Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adorable Tabby came to us as an owner release. She is a 3 year old Chinese Crested Powder Puff mix - we think possibly with Havanese. She does not shed, will need grooming and regular brushing. Tabby is a little overweight but is quickly burning it off by racing in the yard. She should weigh 10 or 11 pounds but weighs 14.
Tabby is a love bug. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and likes to play. She is good with cats and will play with the cat also. She has lived with children and would be fine with respectful children 10 or older.
Tabby likes the car and going for walks. She is crate trained and house trained. Tabby is a VERY affectionate, well manner little dog.
tabby's adoption requires a fenced yard and someone who is not gone a regular 8 hour work day; someone that works from home, works very part time, someone who can take their dog to work (Abby would do fine with this) or is retired.
At Star-Mar we care for our dogs in a natural manner. We feel that due to the high element of risk, including death, in commercial flea products, Advantage, Frontline, Promaris, etc. we can no longer adopt to those that want to continue to use these neurotoxins. We can help you keep your dog flea free without harmful chemicals. We also feed our rescue dogs a species appropriate, raw, balanced diet. We do not ask that adopters feed raw but do ask that you feed a no grain kibble. We ask that you not use weed killer such as Round up or a chemical fertilizer in the area where you dogs are kept and not give annual vaccinations as now recommended by the American Veterinarian Hospital Association. Annual shots are proving to be a major factor in the declining health of our dogs and contribute to the onset of many diseases, no longer taught in any US vet school nor advised by canine immunologists. If you are interested in Tabby, we would be happy to share with you a more natural way to care for her.
If you think that your lifestyle and environment meet Tabby's needs and adoption requirements, please contact Martha at learymjri@aol.com or call 330-466-3667 or 330-262-0515 with any questions or for an application.
