Name: Sadie

Breed: Mini Aussie

Gender: Spayed Female

Age: Approx. 3 yrs 1 mos in June ’15

Weight: Approx. 21 lbs (We are working on slimming her down!)

Energy Level: Low – Medium

Good w/ Dogs: Fine w/ dogs so far, but prefers her people. Would be fine as an only.

Good w/ Cats: Unknown

Good w/ Kids: Sadie may be fine with calm, respectful teens.

Comments: Sadie is a wonderful mini Aussie who came to us from a shelter. She has a vestibular condition that causes her head to constantly tilt. We are hoping to find the source and correct it, but she may always have the issue. It doesn’t slow her down, but does make her slightly sensitive to having her head jostled and ears rubbed, and she can be easily put off balance- especially in water or when she’s picked up. Sadie also has some hearing loss, but we know she can hear some things. Because of Sadie’s little quirks, we are not comfortable letting her go to a home with a pool or body of water that she has access to. Sadie is very overweight at the moment, but we are working hard to correct this. She is very low key for an Aussie, but that may change as she becomes more fit. She is definitely a velcro dog, and wants to be with you as much as possible. She loves your attention and cuddles and will wave her little foot to get you to look at her. It is precious! Sadie has done fine around other dogs, but doesn’t enjoy them getting in her face, so very energetic dogs might be a bit much for her. She would be fine as an only dog as long as she isn’t left alone for long periods. If you would like to give Sadie the loving home she deserves, please fill out an application today!
