My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Cuatle. He is approximately an 11 year old Military Macaw, and is presumed male. Cuatle has been at the rescue for quite some time now. Despite our efforts to fully socialize him, he has been very resistant to human interaction. We believe he may have never been handled prior to being surrendered. He has gotten ok with stepping up here and there but he would prefer not to. He does not like to be petted. He is very needy in the sense that he enjoys the company of other macaws, however he tends to quickly bond with them which can in turn can prove troublesome with bird and owner. His ideal home would be preferably one with a retiree or individual who could spend all of their time with him, and who has a lot of patience. Cuatle will need an experienced owner, and does not do well with children.
