My story

Meet Eleanor! Eleanor is a beautiful 1 year old brown/white Pit Bull mix. At just a year old she is very well behaved and has been amazing in her foster home. Eleanor loves toys, chew toys, going for walks, and playing in her backyard. It was discovered by the vet that Eleanor’s rear right leg didn’t form correctly which is why she favors that leg at times. While we are unsure of how this happened or the cause it doesn’t slow her down. Due to this Eleanor will never be a dog suited as a running partner and it is not recommended she put strain on that leg for long periods of time. Her long term prognosis is probable arthritis years down the road but for now we have her on daily glucosamine pills. This 50 pound girl will still have a normal life like any other dog but we want potential adopters to be aware of this. The perfect family for Eleanor will obviously monitor her leg, include her as part of the family, and provide her with a fenced yard for her to play in. She does live with another dog and cat in her foster home. Eleanor is crate and house trained along with being micro-chipped, spayed, and current on all vaccinations. This girl is amazing and once you meet her and see those eyes and smile in person it’s impossible not to fall in love.
