Leo is a beautiful 1-year-old male Pomeranian. Leo is super friendly with everyone, including children, though we prefer older kids for small dogs in general. Leo is about 14 pounds. We would like Leo's new home to have another small dog who also likes to play, as he loves other dogs and plays all the time. Leo used to mark a lot but he has learned that is not allowed in the house. He takes correction well and loves to please. His foster Mom loves that he falls asleep in her arms on his back, like a baby. He's a trusting fun-loving sweet little soul.
We only adopt within 50 miles or so of Lansing, Illinois/Munster, Indiana.
Leo is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $325.
Happy Tails Rescue Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit foster-based rescue based in Munster, Indiana (which borders our former Lansing, IL location). We have no shelter, all of our animals are cared for in loving foster homes until their forever home match is found. All of our animals are fully vetted before adoption, including distemper, rabies, and bordatella vaccines, a heartworm test, fecal test, microchip, and are spayed/neutered. Adoption fees range from $150-$350. If you're interested in meeting one of our animals please fill out an application first. If approved we will then arrange a meet and greet. Happy Tails does not do same day adoptions because we do a short home visit to make sure our animals are being placed in safe environments. We register the microchip at the time of adoption.
