Nalu is a young, tan with white face female Shepard/Black Mouth Cur mix. She will probably be a medium to large sized adult when she matures.
Some Samaritans witnessed her and her four siblings being dumped out of a truck in a neighborhood near a military base. The Samaritans quickly worked for two days to put the scared five litter mates back together in a safe place. Nalu was the last one caught. She really had us worried sick about her safety and finally another nice Samaritan who lived at the apartment complex caught her at 1 am with some food when she came back to the spot where she was dumped and was barking for her siblings.
Nalu has a very sweet, lovable and shy personality. She takes some time to warm up to you, but once she figures out you are a kind person, she will come to greet you. She is slowing getting her confidence and coming out of her shell. She is learning sit and how to walk nicely on a leash. She knows how to give you high five. She is also adjusting to her crate training.
She will do well in an active and calm family where she will get daily walks or hikes. She will also need a patient family that will help her find her confidence and give her time to work out her shy and timid personality. Another calm and
submissive doggy playmate that is close to her age and size may be beneficial.
She is such a sweet gentle pup and will simply flourish in her own home!
