Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Quincy is a sweet middle-aged Jack Russell Terrier (might be mixed, but we don't know as he came in to a shelter as a stray). He is very much a lap-dog and loving dog. He's not too old to play, but just old enough to know when to play and when to relax with his people.
He is house trained and crate trained. He is good with kids from ages 5 up. [We have no toddlers to test him with but we don't suspect he would have problem with younger ones either].
He has played and interacted with all ages and sizes of dogs in our foster home (from 11# to 110#) and of various ages and stages of life. He has no problems with any of them. He is good on leash and has been leash walked for potty time while in foster.
He has met our cat and though he only initially barked her and we have had her up on the back of the couch and on the table with him loose on lead, he does show a tendency to have too much interest, so while we wouldn't rule out that he could live with a cat, it'd be a stretch that only experienced owners would want to work with.
He does have a big bark for a little dog but he doesn't use it often. In fact, we mostly hear it when motorcycles or loud cars go by on our side road. He is alert outdoors but does well passing other dogs and people without issue.
Indoors, he is not a jumping-jack, he's most content to settle on a couch and watch television with you. He does like to play fetch and enjoys a small squeaky toy to play with (or suck on - which he usually does), but he doesn't necessarily care for balls or other toys. He does not chew his doggie bed or crate blankets and is good about keeping them neatly placed and together.
Quincy is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300.
