Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hemi is wonderful young lab mix. If you are a looking for a dog that has a good amount of training already done but isn't too old; here he is! He won't be difficult to keep teaching more advanced skills, as he is already started on them. He is crate trained and house trained as well. He is social and well behaved with dogs that aren't too rambunctious. He is good (aside from a little puppy-like-clutz) with children 6 and up. [We don't have toddlers to test]. When cat testing him, he looks at the cat, notices it's presence but walks on by without further interest.
He has been leash walked by dogs of all sizes and doesn't flinch about any of them. He has played with a senior Jack Russell and only gave the amount of interaction requested by the Jack.
His learned skills are sit, down, no, off, stay, leave it, wait, easy. He's good with all of them. He does have a pretty decent toy and treat drive so you can easily work him on training more advanced skills as his motivation is high to get his goodies. He is gentle taking even tiny treats from hands. While he is acceptable on leash and responsive to a leash set but he is strong so we wouldn't recommend a young child walk him unless under adult supervision. He could use additional training in this area but treats at side make a walk enjoyable. He is currently leash walked for potty times.
He is almost never seen without carrying a toy in his mouth.\r\n\r\nHe doesn't know his new name yet, but we are working on it. He does understand the come command so we are using it often to reinforce his name.
He does bark, but it's not been inappropriate barking; when first kenneled, when he has to potty, when we first return from being gone are the times we hear his bark. Not incessant barking and not without reason.
Hemi is up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300. He will adopt with 3 days of his current food (Fromm Gold Adult) to get you started or to allow you to change over to a desired brand/
