Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lucy (15-015-MI)\r\n\r\nAge – 9 ½\r\n\r\nDate of Birth – 2/1/06\r\n\r\nWeight – 70 pounds\r\n\r\nState – Michigan\r\n\r\nContact – Mark Howitz at mhowitz@aol.com or 847-541-0166\r\n\r\nLucy was surrendered for having issues with the toddler in the home. She gets along well with adults and older children. She is an excellent walking companion and needs regular, short walks to help with her slight arthritic condition that improves with regular exercise. Because of the arthritis, she descends stairs cautiously and sometimes has all four feet on one step. Lucy may react with a bark or lunge to loud cars or trucks passing too closely on her walks but is otherwise good on leash. Basic commands like sit, stay, down, etc. are no problem for her. Lucy has no history of counter surfing or jumping on beds. She would love to sleep in your room on her dog bed just for the companionship or perhaps to try to convince you it’s time to eat. Lucy is housebroken, spayed, micro-chipped, gets along with other dogs and people, likes Kong style/thinking toys, going for walks, chasing squirrels or other varmints, being petted, and just about any food except bananas.\r\n\r\nLucy doesn’t like her nails clipped but is otherwise fine at the vet or groomer. She should be fed or given treats away from other dogs or children since she can be possessive of these resources. She is trustworthy in the home when left alone for several hours but really enjoys having someone home most of the time.\r\n\r\nIf you have a fenced backyard and are home most of the time you may be just the home Lucy needs. Please contact Mark if Lucy sounds like she may be the new best friend you are looking for.
