We are reaching out to BRBTC in hopes that they would assist in finding our sweet Ada a permanent home. Please read what we have to say about our foster girl. Ada: Funny and friendly? lovey and cuddly ? lively and enthusiastic ? the picture of Joy In Life. She has that something that just grabs your heart. Ada is charming and a lot of fun ? a people-loving girl with a wagging tail. She's got energy, but it doesn't take that much to give her enough exercise and it?s easy to focus her. Then she?s ready to rest. She's a typically curious bully who likes to be part of things. It's a great combination - lots of fun and has an off-switch. Ada makes us laugh every day and she?s a great cuddle. Everyone who meets her loves her. Ada needs a forever home because she and our other dog are not a good blend. Ada would benefit greatly from a home with no other dogs, or a very calm, quiet and non-reactive other dog. Ada is a special girl who has been through the school of hard knocks and come out wagging. Her temperament is stellar. Possibly a mill or backyard breeding dog, she was dumped out in serious condition on a freezing night. Her first instinct was to find her way to humans to ask for help. Even though she was in great pain, her vets and techs all commented on her wonderful temperament. She has a damaged eye that needs easy daily care and drops in both eyes. She is blind on her left side, but she can see to navigate through much of life. It doesn?t bother her one bit. Ada has been learning about life in a household and she loves it! She loves hanging out, massage and cuddle time, going for a walk (as long as it?s not TOO cold!), chewing her nylabone and stuffed bones. She loves food and treats and being spoiled. She can be a little overwhelmed in new places, but she bounces back with a little time to check things out at her own pace. She rides well in her car crate and has been on many excursions. We?ve done lots of training with her to prepare her for her new home, including learning her name, learning to check in, how to walk nicely on a leash, coming when called, how to sit and lie down, crate and mat training, and house training. She?s fun to train and loves food rewards. She also loves praise and attention. Ada could do a dog sport like Nose Work, or Rally Obedience if someone wanted to try that with her, but she doesn?t need to do a dog sport to be a happy dog with her new people. What she needs and wants is to be part of a loving household! Ada has so much to offer the right household. She currently resides in southeastern PA.
