Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PATCHES – love me and I’ll love you back!!!
A little bit about me: If I could talk I would tell you what happened, but this is what people know about me so far. I was dumped in the desert to fend for myself. I’m not a big dog, so those coyotes were waiting to put me between two slices of bread for lunch. So I started to run, hoping to find some help. I took a wrong turn and ended up on I-10 down by Yuma. These nice guys with uniforms stopped traffic so I wouldn’t get hit, and then this nice lady picked me up and put me in her car. I met another lady who took me to my foster parents who fed me, took me to the vet, and gave me a bath. I wish I could thank everybody for their help. The best I can do is to be the pet you have been looking for and give you lots of love and happy memories.
I was just checked out by the vet and she said I was in great physical shape, very healthy, and have pearly white teeth. She thinks I might be around 2 years old. Everybody thinks I’m a Brittany Springer Spaniel mix -mini size because I don’t weight anymore than a sack of potatoes - 18.5 lbs. The vet gave me all my shots (ugh), and I will be neutered.
WHAT I LIKE:
Lots of lovin’ and being close.
I love people food. But, I don’t bother you while you eat.
I prefer being around women. Men kinda scare me so I go and find a safe place to stay. They think maybe somebody big roughed me up a bit. But, with a lot of love, I’m sure we can work it out…. Maybe he can bribe me with a few treats until we warm up to each other! Now that sounds like a plan!
I love to lie in your lap or beside you on the couch while you pet me.
If you give me a bath and confine me in the shower, I will just stand there; otherwise, if there is a chance to escape, let the games begin!
I think I like other cats and dogs. Let’s do a meet and greet and see how it goes. I’m pretty easy going.
WHAT I DON’T LIKE:
I don’t like to be yelled at. Just telling me in a firm voice is more than enough. I’m not aggressive.
WHAT I DO:
I love you back.
I don’t bark a lot.
I sleep in my crate at night, but I’d rather be in bed with you.
I’m pretty lazy and take lots of naps and I don’t play with a lot of toys.
I don’t get in the trash, I don’t bother anything you own, and I don’t chew anything, and I’m housebroken.
WHAT I NEED:
Lots of lovin’ and maybe a little training, I WILL run out the door. I’m pretty quick so please train me not to do this anymore and help me learn to stay. I think I’m very trainable. I aim to please.
