This amber-eyed sweetheart is Nixon! A sensitive soul, this 2-year old boy is patiently awaiting a home where he can all the love and attention he can.

Nixon is a calm and mellow boy that is working on his courage in new situations. A forever family with an easy hand would be best suited for Nixon as he shuts down easily. He’s gaining confidence in his dog-to-dog interactions and would benefit greatly from continued training and obedience classes. He could potentially do well in a forever home with another dog, and he generally resists chasing cats.

Sensitive to loud noises, a home with older children would be best suited for Nixon. He greets new people with a happy, wiggly bum and doesn’t jump up. Not much for toys or fetch, Nixon does loves a good, long walk and does best on a front-clip harness to minimize pulling. He loves to snuggle on the couch and truly relaxes when he can be in your lap! A medium-energy dog, Nixon is just as content to be a couch potato all day as he is to be outside.

Nixon is slowly getting used to being in his crate and does whine for short periods of time when left along in it. With some reassurance he has gotten better at going in and out of his crate without anxiety.
