Little Foot in San Jose, California has been adopted!

Little Foot was a lost dog, running loose for weeks until a caring individual tried to rescue him. His foster mom was persistent though, and finally got him to come close enough that she could catch him. He was a mess, but is now being vetted and groomed so that you can see the wonderful little guy that was underneath all of that. The vet says he is about three years old. When the lady who rescued him could not find his owners she called NBGR to help place him.
His personality is coming out a little more everyday. He has a sweet way about him and is very gentle when he comes near you. He will take treats gently from your hand. He's calm for the most part except when he's excited to see you. That excitement translates to an army crawl all over the bed with his wiggly tail going. He likes to be the center of attention and barks softly so you'll notice him but in general is not really a big barker. He is a little fearful of men, but tolerates them. He's a little possessive of his foster mom right now but is getting better. He's learning how to play with the small dog in his foster home.
Little Foot would probably do best in a quiet home with someone who is home a lot and can shower him with love. His foster mom is working on his leash training and he's doing well with housebreaking. He will ask to go outside with a little bark but initially will need to be on a regular schedule to reinforce his house manners.
Is Little Foot destined to be your "little dog"?
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
