WHY IS HE IN NEED??- This little fellow was picked up as a stray. He is in a high kill shelter that is faced to make hard choices for nothing more than having no space.

WHERE IS HE NOW ?- He has arrived and is in fostercare. He is living in Goderich area with dogs and cats

**ALL ABOUT EARL **
He is a sweet, lovng friendly boy.
1 yr old and 18 lbs.

** UPDATE:
Earl update. Earl continues to do well. House training is coming along and as,long as he is supervised he doesn't have accidents. He does like to chew so things need to be picked up. He is smart and strongly attached to humans. Earl will curl up in a lap for the length of a whole movie. He likes to go for walks. He has bursts of energy where he likes to run. He is starting to understand Sit and come and responds to his name. Distraction works well with him - a quick clap and he comes running. He is great with small children. He's a little afraid of cats so avoids them. He is submissive with my dogs. Earl is a happy little guy. With a little training and patience he is going to be an amazing family member. His name suits him perfectly!

‎So here's what we know about Earl. He is a sweet boy. He is good with cats and dogs. He actually isn't too interested in them. He is people focused and always wants to be beside someone or on a lap. He is not housebroken. He has had one mistake but that was due to human error. He doesn't nip. He is very calm. When he does get running he is so quick. Here are some things I suspect. He is a jumper. That is his current way of greeting people. He jumps on furniture and likely always will. I think he might be a digger. He was digging by the gate but was easily redirected. I suspect he is a chewer as well. We haven't given him opportunity to get into trouble but he did pick up my whole novel in his mouth and try to bring it with him. He also tried touches the tag off of an outdoor cushion. So there you have it. He is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves people. He likes to jump, chew, and is not housebroken. No one ever took the time to teach this boy the house rules. He handles his crate really well. Goes right in and doesn't make a sound. One funny thing about him is that he has a big dog bark. Makes me laugh every time.

** He is a pup and as such should be treated as such. He needs guidance / training to be the best he can be.**

He is great with respectful kids!!

we welcome your application for consideration

These animals deserve forever homes, good food, regular vet care, and emergency care as needed.
Pets should never be euthanized by their owners simply based on financial consideration when something goes wrong.
