Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Black Betty (named after the song) is a great Foromosan Mountain Dog or perhaps some black GS as well? mix female, approx 1
yr old, or could be a few months less...spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm NEG! She has a lot
of energy and does great with children. She loves her humans is uber sweet.
She likes other dogs but tends to
want to be the dominant. However, she tends to do great with most dogs, even if not first, within a couple of minutes she is off running and playing. We are just saying on occasion there might be a dog she isn't thrilled with.'
Not so with children and her humans, she loves them all !
She hasn't chased balls or chewed on dog toys but seems to like the elk horn chew. She does like to chase cats...If they run, she'll
chase. She is house trained and kennel trained (but she'd often rather be by your side or outside. She is not a digger or climber but she is flexible enough to
scale a short fence if she wanted to. She would do best in a privacy fence.
She ended up a stray in our pound (ACS) and an ACS foster saw what a
wonderful dog she is and that she deserved a better life. The foster has an
8-yr-old boy who played with her all the time.
She has had no accidents in the house and is left alone at her foster home all day while her humans are at work and is perfectly behaved! So amazing for such a young dog, she is still a pup.
She just arrived all the way from SA Texas and is ready for her new home here. Her foster mom here said how she sat immediately when asked and was super well behaved for her in her car. She is a lover, a total sweetheart. She doesn't chow down her food and might even leave it for later if she isn't hungry at that moment.

Shayne's rescue is a few foster moms in the Olympia/Tumwater area. We foster dogs that rescues ask us to foster and let those rescues use this site to list those pups/dogs and rehome them. We donate all of our time, food, monies to assist in getting these dogs forever homes. We are not responsible for any experience you have with any dog you might see posted on this site. They are the "property", if you will, of the rescue they come from and all paperwork and vet work you will receive when you adopt and it will have all that information for you. Thank yo
