Lucky is 8 pounds and a tall yorkie. His favorite place to be is curled up in your lap. Extremely faithful and wonderful... adores people!
The main problem Lucky has is possession with his owner. He will ONLY WORK in a home with him as the only pet. He accepts people very easily and loves almost everyone... BUT with other dogs he becomes something different and will attack with no warning in jealousy. If you can accept this and are just looking for a SOLE DOG who will be your companion... Lucky is perfect. He loves his bonded human and wants to spend all his time with them.
Lucky Paws was found from a post on Facebook with a woman desperate to find him help after finding him after a car accident. He had been with another dog that did not make it, laying bloody in the grass and shaking. From this kindhearted woman... who reached out for help... we raced off to assist him. After being placed with a vet overnight, it was determined that Lucky had a laceration on one leg... and the cause of his pain was a broken toe on the same foot. A very Lucky boy indeed! Being placed on supplements to enable him to return to wellness, he is now doing wonderful and jumping up and down for joy. He is 5-6 years old and a very loving little guy. Lucky Paws loves to be a lap dog and gazes about his new environment with wonder. Having no knowledge of his previous environment... we are pretty sure he was a stray on the street for a while as his skin was dry and flaking... with supplements and good diet he is back to full health, his fur growing back nice and silky.
Someone who is looking for a forever companion would be an ideal match in either a home or small garden apartment. Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Weight: 8.2 lbs Birthdate: 12-4-2008 (approximately) Bathroom Awareness: Lucky is not housebroken... he is working hard on it and if taken out regularly he will be fine. A dog door with protected small yard would be ideal. Integration with others: He is neutered and able to play with others. However, we have not been able to integrate him with any other dog. Meals: Lucky loves to eat! Training: Lucky is very attentive and smart! He picks up words quickly and aims to please. Walks: Lucky LOVES to walk! He will go exploring on a leash and when you are ready he is more than willing to return home. Bedtime: Lucky is not thrilled with a crate but he will go in for bedtime. During the day he absolutely hates it... he prefers to be out and in his bed or wandering around with you. Adoption Fee: $200, includes current vaccinations, microchip, collar, leash, and of course... Lucky Paws! Beaux's Haven is a sanctuary for small dogs enabling them to find their forever homes. We do operate on donations and would like you to know the adoption fee is a part of helping us save the next and the next little dog. If you would like to donate more, it is greatly appreciated and will be put to good use.
