My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Located in Newmanstown, PA....Hi! My name is Maxwell and aren't I just the most handsome little guy you've ever seen!! I'm just about to turn 9 years old but let me tell you, just because I'm 9 and they say I'm a senior, there's nothing senior about me. I have lots of energy and lots more years to go in this life. My original owners, who had several children, could no longer care for me and sent me to rescue. A nice retired woman adopted me but when she would leave the house, I was very lonely and scared because after coming from a very active home and then being left alone when she would leave, I got scared and would potty in the house, even in my crate. I didn't like that thing called a crate. At my foster mom's home she has many other dogs and when she leaves the house, I'm perfectly fine and well behaved because the others say she'll be back and they make me more relaxed. I have not once gone potty in my foster mom's home. She is so proud of me and I show her lots of love when she comes back home by jumping and barking and showing her how happy I am she's back. She seems to think I would do well in a home where someone works from home or is retired and also has one or two other dogs to keep me company when they leave the home. I love to go for rides in the car and I walk well on a leash. I'm fine with other dogs but I don't know about cats...never been around any. I weigh about 9 lbs, I'm neutered, up to date on shots, micro chipped, housebroken and ready to find my forever home. Could it be yours?
