Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"Hi! My name is Penelope and I am a sweet 7 year old petite purebred Chocolate Labrador Retriever . I used to live with a family, but they took me to a shelter when they no longer wanted me. Thankfully, these nice people took me in to their rescue.
Please dont let my age fool you, I am a very healthy and energetic 7 year old. I really enjoy the outside and running so I prefer a fenced in yard. My foster mom takes me jogging with her and I keep up just fine. I also love riding in the car especially when she has the convertible down.
I love people, especially kids, but I really like to chase cats, so a home without kitties would be best. Because my previous family didn't do a good job training or socializing me, I would still benefit from doggie school even at my age. In my foster home, I play with two otther adult dogs with no issues, but I need some time to adjust to new dogs.
My most favorite activity is hanging with my foster siblings and cuddling with everyone. My foster mom has helped me with potty training so I don't have accidents in the house anymore. Although I don't chew and destroy, I still love my crate when my foster mom is at work or if she wants the entire bed to herself.
I would love to meet you and show you what a good girl I am. I need someone who will let me settle in for a few weeks and can work with me so that I can be the best dog I can be!"
Penny is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Penny, please visit http://3clr.org/adoption-process to read about our process and download the application.
