Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi Gang!!
My name is Purdy and I am looking for my furever home! My life didn’t start out so great. I was in a high kill shelter down in a place they call California. Lucky for me Northwest Boxer Rescue swooped in and saved me! Now that I have a chance to live my life, I want to live the live I was meant to; happy and free with my furever family!
Right now I live with three foster brothers and boy, are they fun! We spend the day running and playing in the back yard. My favorite game is fetch but I also love playing chase. I am faster than my foster brothers and think it is really funny when they can’t catch me! But after a long day of playing what I really like to do is cuddle up and enjoy some family time. I love my foster family, but if I had my own family to cuddle with, that would be even better.
I do really good on car rides too. I just sit in the back seat and watch the world go by. I also love walks. I do really well on the leash for the most part or if I see a squirrel, chicken or the big fluffy ones my foster parents call “cat,” I will do my very best to go and eat… I mean me meet them. But, as long as you carry some treats with you when we are out walking, I will leave them alone.
I do get a little shy around new dogs. It takes me a little bit to warm up to them but once I do, we become very good friends. I love all humans and when I get my own family I will be so happy. When I get happy, I start wagging my long tail, it’s like a happy whip. My Foster Mom is afraid that I will hit a small child with it, but so far I’ve only hit my foster brothers.
When my humans are gone they leave me out to wander the house. Because of my past in the shelter I don’t like being in a cage. I am a good girl when left out in the house though, I don’t get into anything that I shouldn’t and behave just the way a little lady is supposed to!
If you think I would be the right match for you family, fill out an application at nwboxerrescue.org and you never know, I might just be coming home with you! If you would like to adopt her, fill out an adoption application on our website www.nwboxerrescue.org
