Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nora is a beautiful young dog who wound up a local high kill shelter as a "stray." Thankfully for her, one of A.H.A.R.T.'s amazing foster homes stepped up to take her under their wing. Nora is an intelligent, loving and charismatic dog, though she is looking for a home that will continue to work on her socialization with people. We don't Nora's background, but it doesn't seem she had the greatest start in life. Her foster family have been hard at work with her, building her confidence and working on basic obedience.
Nora is currently being fostered in a home with 3 adults and Bueller the cat who she is very respectful with. Nora is well behaved and calm in the home with her people. She can be a little bit reluctant when new visitors come over, however, she is quick to warm up and is getting better with each passing day. Nora seems to be a bit more cautious around men, but with some reassurance and patience, she adapts well to meeting new people.
Nora is crated when her foster family is out of the home and does well. She is generally well behaved, but if you leave food or garbage in an accessible area, it is fair game for Nora. With that being said, Nora is very food motivated which makes her easier to train. She has no food aggression what so ever, and is happy to share though.
Nora does have a lot of "get up and go" and she would love to find a home where she will get lots of exercise and play time. She would make a great hiking or jogging partner. Nora walks well on a leash when her halti is on, though on a flat collar she does tend to pull. Nora can be reactive on leash when seeing other dogs and people, although her foster parents are working hard to correct this behavior. Nora has been responding well and would benefit from further training and consistency.
Nora is a very sweet and goofy girl. She loves to cuddle up and is never one to turn down a good belly rub. She does know her basic commands although "lay down" is bit touch and go. Nora would do well with an active owner or family. She would be great with older kids who wanted to play fetch with her and involve her in any outdoor activities. Nora would be fine as an only dog or living with another friendly dog.
If you think Nora is the special lady for you, please submit an adoption application through our website.
