Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sheba is a Sable German Shepherd who is around 3 years old and the resident clown. Sheba is to Camp Chaos what Kramer is to Seinfeld. She is very charming & loves to entertain us by hopping around like a bunny, tossing her toys, and chewing on her foster sisters.
She was abandoned at Shelby Park November 2007. Sheba is in fantastic shape, about 83 lbs of oh-so-soft lovin'. Sheba sleeps with us nightly. She is great for back support since we sleep back-to-back and she doesn't move around a lot. While she doesn't like getting a bath, she hangs out with me when I shower or read in the bath. She really is velcro for us girls, but she is no longer afraid of men and enjoys walks/jogs with her big daddy.
Sheba looks forward to having her very own human so she can be her/his shadow. She sleeps most of the day away awaiting our return. She walks well when using a gentle-lead/halty, and she loves loves loves going to the dog park to romp and mingle and fetch.
Her new forever home needs to have extra fencing or doors to keep her from escaping while people are entering/leaving the home. She is not afraid to knock someone down to get out the door when she is at a new place, that is, until she gets settled in and comfortable. She is kennel trained which will help her stay comfortable during her adjustment period.
Sheba has been spayed, she is up to date on vax, she is microchipped, she is housetrained, she doesn't get car sick, she has great teeth, and she's just an all-around wonderful, beautiful, intelligent, sensitive girl. I swear she is smarter than the above-average human.
Her sensitive and intelligent ways make her the perfect soul dog for someone wanting a best friend to be always at one's side. She must be an inside dog with outdoor privileges. Sheba has a great bark, but in no way is she a guard dog or meant to stay on someone's front porch. Please make sure you check Metro Animal Care & Control's petfinder site if you are looking for an outdoor dog. If you need help finding a dog at a local shelter, let me know and I will try to help you on that note, too.
Sheba is a perfect pack dog, as we have trained all of our dogs to recognize us as the alpha dog, not another pack member. Therefore, she will not be for you if you allow your other dog(s) to rule your roost, but she will not try to rule your roost either.
It is imperative that the rest of this beautiful girl's life is spot-on wonderful. I have lived with her for 6 months and can say, hands down, she is the best dog I have ever met (and I have 4 forever dogs...).
She must be adopted by someone with previous German Shepherd Dog AND rescue dog experience, please.
Please email for an application captainchaos@campchaos37206.org.
Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our rehabilitated street pups! Her adoption fee is $150.
All good things.
