Name: Gilda
Breed: Chihuahua / Toy Poodle
Gender: Spayed Female
Age: Approx. 7 yrs 1 mos in April ’15
Weight: Approx. 5.5 lbs
Energy Level: Low – Medium
Apartment Appropriate: Maybe
Good w/ Dogs: Prefers her people. Would be happiest as an only.
Good w/ Cats: Unknown, but probably would be fine.
Good w/ Kids: Gilda may be fine with calm, respectful teens.
Comments: Gilda couldn’t be any cuter if she tried! This tiny sweetie was likely hit by a car before she came to us, as she was bruised and her tail extremely broken. We had to amputate the tail, and now she is feeling great without that painful dead weight. Despite the pain she had to be in, Gilda has been a wonderful lovebug since day one. She loves attention and lap time, and just wants to be near you. She’ll dance on her hind legs and talk to you if you aren’t giving her the star treatment she deserves. ;-) Gilda is a bit bossy with the other small dogs in her foster home, and if you wanted her to the only star in the home, we think she would be thrilled. Don’t let her gray and white hair fool you- that’s just her coloring and she is definitely NO old lady! She does like a mellow environment and gentle people- not at all surprising at her tiny size. To see a video of Gilda being her adorable, cuddly self with a person she had never met before, check out https://youtu.be/GHgdFQ6frCg. If you’d like to give Gilda the calm home with the lap time she deserves, please fill out an application today.
