Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Aiden, another face who may be familiar to some. He was returned to us through no fault of his own. As many pit bull owners know, their dog needs to be an “ambassador for the breed”. Because of their bad reputation, pit bulls have to be even better behaved and better trained than most other dogs. The good news is that Aiden is definitely an ambassador for his breed!
He has been very respectful in the home, and knows a lot of obedience already! He can sit, down, wait, and is learning shake. He sits and waits politely at doors and for his food, and he walks well on his leash. He is learning the command “crate” and runs excitedly into his crate every time – as long as he gets his treat, he is a happy camper. Even though he hasn’t had any accidents, he is also learning to touch bells at the back door to signal when he needs to go potty. He is such a quick study that he should pick up on any other tricks his new family wants to teach him rather quickly! He was a little bit nervous in his crate to start, but since he is now receiving treats every time he gets into his crate, he is starting to like it a lot more.
Aiden is also great with other dogs. He frequents dog parks, and lives with two dogs, one of whom is much smaller than him. In fact, he is rather submissive to both people and other dogs. He can get a little overexcited sometimes, though, and has to be told by his doggy foster siblings when they have had enough playing! He is still young, so he will need a moderate amount of exercise, but he also loves
nothing more than a good cuddle and will often put his head into someone’s lap looking for love and petting.
Anyone who is wanting the perfect blend of a dog young enough to still have some puppy energy but old enough to have some training, and active enough for some good play sessions but lazy enough for some good cuddling needs to meet Aiden! He can’t wait to find his forever home.
