Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Cashmere currently lives in Houston, Texas and is available for out of state adoption.**
We’d love everyone to meet the beautiful new addition to the Reggie’s Friends family, Cashmere! She is one of the sweetest, smartest, most adorable little ladies ever. Cashmere was picked up as a stray from the streets of Houston and taken to a city shelter. A city shelter is no place for a pup and we could not imagine not getting this girl out and to safety. Since leaving the shelter, we have found that Cashmere thinks everyone is her friend and will meet and greet everyone with enthusiasm!
Cashmere is a 4-5 month old lab mix and although just a puppy, has demonstrated incredible intelligence and a strong desire to learn. She is so well-behaved, she gets to spend her days meeting and greeting patients at her foster mom’s dental practice! We are told the patients are very excited to see her when they come in. Cashmere already knows how to sit, down, and fetch, and is working on stay, leave it, and shake. She is also learning to walk nice on her leash. We are sure she will catch on to these and many more training tricks very quickly!
Cashmere is currently around 20 pounds, our best guess is she will top out in the low to mid 40 pound range. She is in the mid-higher level of activity range and would be a great running, hiking, biking partner. Her foster mom says she practically “dances” when she runs! She is happiest, when she is “working”. So we would love for her to be in a family that can offer her a lot of enrichment toys, puzzles (figures them out quickly), and maybe even some agility training. Cashmere is also very affectionate, she loves to have her belly rubbed and to crawl up in your lap for loving.
We think with her age and activity level, a house with a bit older children (that she can’t accidently knock down) would be the best fit for her. Cashmere is great with other dogs, but would also be fine as an only dog. We are not 100% on her suitability for cats, but can “cat test” her if her potential family has a kitty friend.
Cashmere She has been fully vetted (spayed, UPD on shots, and microchipped), so she’s eager to start a life with a family that is committed to loving her and sharing her zest for life. Cashmere’s out-of-state adoption fee is $450, which includes her airline ticket, travel crate, comfy bed and required travel documents. She is currently living in a foster home in Houston, Texas and will remain here until she is adopted. If you’d like to adopt Cashmere or want additional information, please email us at adoptions@reggiesfriends.org. You can meet Cashmere via video chat after an adoption application is submitted.
