Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Frieda! I'm a sweet as sugar Bichon Frise! I'll be 2 years old on August 13th, 2015. I was rescued from a puppy mill when I was pregnant. I also had an injured foot from getting it caught in the chicken wire floor in my cage at the mill. Luckily it has healed entirely and you would never know what happened. My foster mom made sure I got antibiotics and kept it nice and clean to help it heal. Four weeks after my rescue, I had six healthy puppies! Some of my puppies are still available for adoption. I'm such a lucky girl to have been rescued. I was able to have my last litter of puppies in a nice warm, clean home rather than a dingy, dirty puppy mill, and now I'll be able to become someone's beloved pet instead of continuing to be a puppy making machine in a mill.
I'm a super friendly little girl who just LOVES attention. I love to be held by my foster parents. I also just love to run and play with the other dogs here at my foster home in the fenced yard we have, so a home with another small, playful dog and a fenced yard is a must for me. I also love chewing on nylabones and playing with all kinds of different dog toys. After all, I'm really still a puppy myself!
Since I just recently weaned my puppies, I'm not quite ready to be spayed, but I will be before I'm adopted. I am up to date on vaccinations and have been dewormed. I'm being fed a high-quality food at my foster home that doesn't contain any corn, wheat, soy, meat by-products or other low-quality ingredients, and I hope my new family will continue to feed me a high-quality food for the rest of my life. I'm being fostered in Barneveld, WI, and my adoption fee is $350. If you're interested in adopting me, please email Margaret at loveforbichons@gmail.com to request an application.
The adoption process with Safe Haven Bichon and Friends Rescue includes an application, reference checks, and a home visit. We do not ship dogs on planes or send them on transports. Adopters need to come to the foster home to adopt.
