Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Kaito is currently living in a foster home in Houston, Texas and is available for adoption in the Vancouver area. Additional fees are required at Customs upon his arrival.**
Kaito is officially ready to find his new family. This gorgeous Yellow Lab mix is sure to win over hearts all over. He is estimated at 9 months old and although he’s 60 pounds now, he is still growing and we expect he will max out about 70-75 pounds as an adult. His little apricot floppy ears are soft as bunny ears and he wouldn’t mind you scratching them all day long. His coat is so light, that he looks nearly white in the sunlight. He’s a stunningly handsome boy with an equally great personality.
Kaito has lots of loves in his life such as all people and all other dogs. He is super social with everyone and is a great dog park attendee. He is a new boy to our program, but his excellent temperament is already showing through. He’s a bigger boy and has lots of puppy energy still, so we think he’d be perfect for a family with older kids. He would play, run and befriend children instantly, but smaller kids might be overwhelmed by his exuberance. On a daily basis, Kaito and his dog buddies are goofing off together in the back yard at their foster’s home and just enjoying their time together before they get adopted by their forever families.
Swimming, hiking, jogging, socializing, cuddling and sunbathing are all on Kaito’s favorites list and he wants to do all of these with his new family as soon as possible. He is an active boy and with his energy level, we feel that he needs an energetic family that will take him to be involved in these things. He loves to run in the yard on “stay at home” days, so having a fenced in yard is important to him. He’s not all action, unless you count puppy kisses, hugs and cuddles too. He’s a super sweet boy with a big heart and lots of love to share with his new family. He craves affection and attention, so he needs a family that will spend a lot of time with him and show him a ton of devotion that he was missing out on as a stray in Houston. His “hugs” are something that we are working on because a hug from a big boy can be a bit uncomfortable, so training is underway, but will need to continue once he’s joined his family.
Kaito is currently living in a foster home and adjusting to life as a pet rather than a survivor on the streets. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and healthy (and handsome). He is crate and house trained and needs some more work learning how to leash walk properly. He is available for out of state adoption with an approved adoption application. His out of state adoption fee is $450 to cover the cost of his airline flight and travel supplies. If splashing in the nearby lake with Kaito sounds like a good day, please email us at adoptions@reggiesfriends.org to adopt him.
