Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Claire will be at Pet Valu Binbrook for National Adoption Weekend April 17-19 as follows: Friday--6-9 PM, Saturday and Sunday -- 11 AM -3 PM. **
Claire and Camryn came to us through a network of amazing rescuers that call themselves Isla Animals. They are a rescue group based out of the Cancun area of Mexico that focus on humane education and spaying and neutering of domestic and street animals.
Claire, Camryn and their sister were left in a box when they had barely opened their eyes outside of the vet clinic that Isla Animal uses. Due to their vet Arturo's quick action, he was able to save 2 of the puppies and we are happy to say that Claire and Camryn are healthy, playful pups looking for their new homes in Canada. As unfortunate as it is, that one pup did not survive, Claire and Camryn beat the odds and have a much brighter future than many dogs from Mexico.
Claire is the more outgoing of the sisters and tends to take charge of situations, while still remaining a little bit cautious. As Claire has grown up in a shelter, she is just now getting used to what living in a home and interacting with strangers looks like. She definitely draws in attention with her wonky ears, bright eyes and clumsy, fun loving attitude. Claire would love to find a home with an individual or family that is home more often than not and can dedicate lots of time to her.
As Claire is young, she will definitely benefit from structure, routine, socialization and training. She is a smart and agile little girl who loves to play, cuddle and play some more. Claire would be a great dog for obedience classes and potentially agility when she is older. As we do not know exactly what is in her mix, we can only estimate her size. Full grown, she is tracking to be around 25-30 lbs. She does have a naturally lean frame and long legs.
If you are interested in adopting Claire, please submit an adoption application through our website. Claire will be at Pet Valu Binbrook, however, adoptions will not be taking place during the event. Claire welcomes any potential families or friends to come and meet her in person.
