Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet beautiful and slightly adorably shy Garland...cutest Black and Tan Coonhound mix girl to come out of the south! You'll hear her tail wagging before you ever see her! Garland is energetic and affectionate. She is friendly, energetic and a real people dog. She is about 1 year old and currently weighs 39lbs. She is on the thin side, so should weigh about 40-45lbs. Garland was rescued out of high kill Murray county shelter and then brought home by her foster mom. Garland needs you to help build her confidence, and just spending time with her will be most of what she needs! She loves to play and gets along great with other dogs. She will dig Seattle dog parks and would be the star of the training class. She is working on her basic commands and is getting better on the leash. She is respectful and quiet in the house, though still a bit unsure of expectations and can be trusted in the car. She does very well in her crate and thinks of it as her "happy place". She ignores the kitties and her foster mom’s horses. She is alert and curious outdoors and is calm and cuddly in the house. Her foster mom's children are not super young, but we don’t have any concerns with Garland and kids. Miss Garland loves her daily walks and would really enjoy a run or an occasional hike. She is energetic, and a pleaser, so training is girl is going to be improvements by leaps and bounds. She’s not bothered by the weather and is tall and athletic. Everyone who meets her falls in love! Garland loves her toys, and her chewies and a nap in the sun. Garland has been spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. She'll arrive in the Seattle area on April 11th after her cross country journey to you! She will be ready to go home with you then! Her adoption fee is $500 and we make a donation to Georgia Spay and Neuter with all adoptions. You will find an online application at www.raincityrescue.com, choose the adopt tab. Any questions about lovely hound-lab mix Garland, email Pam at raincityrescue@gmail.com. She's ready to really start living and loving and learning!
